When it comes to the companies providing telecom services along with the internet, television, mobile network and broadband services in the UK, TalkTalk is one of the biggest names that come into the mind. It has been a constant name amongst all other services providers since 2003 when it was one if the subsidiary of the Carphone Warehouse. Later in 2010 id demerged which now go by the name of TalkTalk having its headquarters in London and listed under London Stock Exchange. Earlier it only used to provide services related to the telecom sector but now it is one of the biggest names in internet and broadband service providers.
Services provided by TalkTalk
After its demerger, it tried its luck many sectors including internet, broadband and television. Here are some of its services in detail:
- Broadband and fixed line telephony- it provides landline telephone services and broadband services to private households. They generally used to offer both the services in unison but in recent days it is also offering both the services separately. This is because of the fact the mobile phones have replaced the smartphones to a great extent which compelled the company to give the facilities separately too
- Online security- it offers online security which goes by the name “Homesafe”. Under this scheme, the parents are allowed to keep a check on the activity of their children. They can block the offensive and the sites promoting violence. It was launched in 2011 and is basically a website blocking system
- Television- TalkTalk works in collaboration with a company named YouView. Actually, it is one of the seven partners of YouView. It provides IPTV services throughout the UK. It purchased IPTV services of Tiscali in 2010 and called it TalkTalk TV. But after two years this service was closed and was replaced by TalkTalk Plus TV
- Mobile telephony- TalkTalk launched its mobile services in the year 2010. Although it didn’t have its own spectrum yet used the one of Vodafone UK to operate as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). It also launched the dongle services through which the users were allowed to access the internet anywhere anytime
Customer services
A company operating so many businesses at a time is expected to have good customer service to resolve the issues of the customers. But to utter disappointment this hasn’t been the case with TalkTalk. It has been amongst the bad ranking of providing satisfactory services to the customers. A large number of customers have complained about their services. According to them, they are not getting the services in compliance with the amount that they are paying.

Even after so many efforts, if your complaint isn’t given due attention then you can get it noticed by sending a letter to the office of the CEO.
