After spending two years as the chief investment strategist, ben Seager-Scott will now head the portfolio management and fund research teams at Tilney. Tilney has come out to be a market leader and also has approximately £24.4bn in assets under the management. Out of this figure, 76% falls under the centrally managed mandates build on discretion and are made for a particular client.

Success of Tilney

The company has over £7bn in various of its OEIC funds which are centrally managed with discretion rules and mandates. The funds have various kinds of portfolios like global asset portfolio, multi-asset portfolio, advanced passive portfolio funds, etc. and also has a core investment management company which is domiciled in Dublin.

As mentioned by the chief investment officer of Tilney Chris Godding, Tilney is a group which not only has a huge fund based variety it also is the biggest and widespread multi-asset funds services in the united kingdom. This entire successful venture of the global investment portfolio is supported by a team of twelve highly experienced and talented portfolio managers and financial analysts. This entire team will now be headed by the very talented ben himself and he will look after the entire portfolio team management. Therefore one say that ben will have a very important responsibility of finding ways to spread the portfolio.

Tilney just because has the biggest multi-asset needs the best talent and even the best experience when it comes to making the best strategies. Tilney has now, therefore, started focusing on fund research. With proper fund research, one can find various weaknesses and strengths of a particular fund in a composite way. However, fund research is not about the funds future potential however it is about its current potential and how it will be faring in the current situation. This helps in fund comparison and also to find which kind of funds are better.

Talents of Tilney

This is the reason why in Tilney as mentioned by Chris, they have a talent pool to do thorough fund researchers who have the capabilities to cover all kinds of active funds manager and also different passive funds and various smart beta strategies for investment. This helps the firm to create better plans that they cater to a large number of clients and also an extensive range of customers with different goals and also varying risk levels.

It is also found by various asset risk consultants across the country that Tilney has the best mix of asset funds and also the multi-asset finds show the best performance among all its other competitors. They cater to every time zone and various financial markets. This shows good market prospects and that Tilney will see good financial growth in the coming quarters as well.

Seager-Scott was appointed to Tilney in 2011. Tilney was then known as Bestinvest and in 2014 when Permira acquired both tiny and Bestinvest it was named as Tilney group permanently. Before joining Bestinvest he worked at Whitechurch for three long years.
