Did you know that Chamonix was host to the first Winter Olympics?
The French resort has a rich history, which is complimented by its incredible natural beauty. Now, it has another jewel in its crown: the culinary experience it offers to both visitors and locals alike.
There are some tremendous restaurants in the region, but for the purpose of this article, we are going to examine the magnificent private chefs and catering companies that call the area home.
Alpine Catering Company
The Alpine Catering Company was founded by Sam and Heather, who are two chefs who know how to design a wonderful menu and create a perfect culinary experience.
If you are travelling with a little one, then worry not, as they also specialise in creating child friendly nutritional dishes so the whole family is left full and happy.
There must be something about Chamonix and wonderful teams, as Mountain Gourmets was also created by a pair of chefs.
The two in question here are Ben and Magda, a pair of self-described adventurists who know how to create a menu full of wonder and intrigue.
After you taste their food, you will be wondering how they made it so delicious and intrigued by the possibility of getting seconds!
Private Chef Chamonix
Andy is the first individual on our list, but the sum of his brilliance comes from years of experience working alongside some of France’s best chefs.
As the multi-lingual cook behind Private Chef Chamonix, he offers a bespoke experience in the heart of the Alps.
His menus offer a genuine taste of the Alps.
Chamonix Chef, Phillip, arrived in France twenty years ago.
During that time, he has been gaining experience working and running successful restaurants. His skillset is vast and as the Chamonix Chef, he offers a number of services to interested parties.
They include chalet cooking, home deliveries, corporate events and cooking classes. His talent is widely known in the area, having a reputation of being both a creative and reliable chef.
Emma Lawrenson started Chamchef back in 2011.
Ever since then she has been creating unique and diverse menus, teaching cooking classes and keeping residents of private chalets around Chamonix happy with delicious meals.
As a chef, she is as comfortable creating classic French cuisine, as she is creating authentic Chinese food.
If you are looking for variety, Chamchef is a great option.
