Recently, The Royal Mail in the UK introduced a brand-new postal service which comprises of setting up post-boxes all across the country, to make the parcel service easier and readily available to a wider group of the population. They don’t need to reach out to faraway places to have their parcels delivered or returned, now they can just have it by their streets with a minimum to no cost service. All the major UK regions, including places like Cardiff, Birmingham, Aberdeen, and Leeds are going to be introduced with the parcel postboxes in the following months. The organization has claimed that the set up will begin from August and said to be completed in a period of about 6 months from then. The company has detected a total of 1400 meter boxes that claim to have a secure foundation and also a significant access aperture that might come in handy when the conversion of these meter boxes into postboxes are going to take place. The company claims that they have been preparing it for a year now and after the successful trial of the boxes in 2018, they are now sure of the initiative they’re putting on. After the set up in Cardiff, Birmingham, Aberdeen, and Leeds, the post boxes are said to be put up in other regions too like Harrogate and Skipton.
