In Washington, The General Dynamics Electric Boat has won a prize of $497 million US in the contract of defense told by Pentagon. Thomson Reuters is the into upholding the Trust Principles and also keep their integrity, independence and liberty preserved and that too in the midst of various gatherings and information on the news.

Who are Trust Principles?

Created in 1941, it was created in between the chaos of World War 2. During this, it agreed to the Newspaper Proprietors Association Limited and also The Press Association Limited which was the Reuters Shareholders of that time. The obligations were imposed by The Trust Principles on the Reuters and also all its employees that they always act and perform integrity, Independence and freedom in a biased manner.

The Directors of Reuters and also their Shareholders were devoted to the protection and preservation of the Trust Principles that got established in 1941. At that time, itself, the Reuters achieved to become a Publicly traded company in London on the Stock Exchange and Nasdaq. This was achieved after establishing a huge structure in the form of a company named Reuters Founders Share Company Limited with the aim of holding shares.

With time a legal structure was evolved with various contracts and contractual settlements. Also, founder share was found and a few Special rights on the Thomson Reuters Founders share Company has secured the rights of voting in a few circumstances where a person is in search of considerate shareholding. Also, while making a decision on the share of the company a prior consent should be taken also for the transactions.

Thomas Reuters also provide with safeguarding the trust principles that they apply on the Thomson Reuters Business and also, they perform their duties on the basis of the rules laid by them.

Trust Principles are :

  • The Reuters shall never switch to any other hands or interests.
  • The freedom, integrity, and independence shall never feel compromises in the future.
  • The Reuters keep supplying the relatable and Reliable news to various newspapers, news channels, broadcasters and also to the various subscribers of the social media. Also, government, business institutions should be Reuters contact.
  • All the interests that it should be paying on the due regards in order to those of other social media.

The Thomson Reuters Founders Share Company was built in 1984. In this year the company was turned into a public company. The directors of this company are known as the Trustees, they have a responsibility to take care of the Trust Principles all together. These trustees are the highly experienced people from different areas from various fields of politics, media, business and a lot more. There are at least 14-18 members in the Trustee Committee and there are two meetings held in a year and also the report is constructed on their activities. The huge number of trustees has to be almost 14 and no other than 18, they have around two meetings per year and also, they get the reports on the activities that are based on different fields.
