Tüyap brings its 35th Plast Eurasia to Istanbul this December. Production technologies, raw materials and plastics machinery are to be shown side by side, as the organisers step up their recruitment of trade visitors in the largest European markets ahead of opening.
İstanbul – Plast Eurasia takes place at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul from 2-5 December 2026. The event is organised by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. in cooperation with PAGEV, with backing from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade. It gathers buying professionals, distributors, producers of raw materials, technology suppliers and manufacturers under one roof to forge trade ties right across the plastics industry.
“For 35 years, Plast Eurasia supports the growth and development of the industry by bringing companies and professionals together and helping turn those connections into commercial relationships,” according to İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager at Tüyap Fairs Production Inc. “This year, we want to carry that experience forward by creating focused opportunities for buyers, suppliers and technology companies to meet around the needs of today’s plastics industry.”
European promotion gathers momentum
Some 3 months ahead of opening day, 90% of the stand area is already booked. Organisers forecast 80,000 visitors from Türkiye as well as overseas, with trade visitor campaigns homing in on Germany, Belgium and Greece, alongside Romania, France, Italy and Poland, plus Middle Eastern and North African markets.
In December, visiting European professionals can meet materials firms, equipment suppliers and other plastics companies gathered at one Istanbul venue. The international visitor programme aims to create new business contacts while also helping companies strengthen the commercial ties they have built already.
Equipment, raw materials and process technology on show together
Plastic production machinery, together with raw materials and chemicals, forms two of the show’s main pillars. Coverage extends to machinery solutions and the coming generation of production technologies, while efficiency, innovation and value-added production are among the themes framing its business agenda.
The product range is deliberately built so buyers and technical staff can review materials, machines and manufacturing methods in a single trip, while exhibitors unveil fresh products, technologies and industry answers to overseas visitors.
Anniversary events chart 35 years of industry change
The 35th-anniversary programme features a Milestones Map, which uses a timeline display to trace landmark moments in the fair’s past alongside shifts in the plastics industry. A display of vintage plastics production machinery will also show visitors the way manufacturing technology has changed across the decades.
At the opening ceremony, plaques go to Kontel Elektronik, Enformak Plastik Teknolojileri and Almak Ateş Makine, three companies present throughout the fair’s 35 years, in recognition of their enduring support.
The Stage is Yours! programme hands exhibitors 30-minute slots to present value-added products, success stories, technologies and sector solutions to visitors.
Hosted buyers get guided itineraries
The Hosted Buyer Guided Tour programme directs overseas purchasing delegations to the exhibitors and product categories of most relevance to them with less wasted time. Buyers taking part benefit from escorted routes, visits to demonstration and event zones, access to the Hosted Buyer Lounge and bespoke support services.
Turkish Airlines, as Official Airline of Plast Eurasia, will discount qualifying international return flights to Istanbul flown from 25 November to 12 December 2026, trimming 10% from Economy Class fares and 15% from Business Class fares.
