About Housing Ladder:

A series in which a person owns a house or a property from a cheaper one to the expensive one. This refers to a situation when someone buys an apartment or a small house initially and later after having enough money they Invest in a big or more expensive house. This is said stepping on to the first step of the property ladder, they tend to help the first-time buyers to step their foot on this ladder and that too without any deposit. This scheme devotes help to a number of strugglers which has now been used by around 92,007 families those who hold income more than £50,000 annually. This scheme is used by a number of people either they are buying a first new house or buying a big house later with the help and support of taxpayers. After the scheme has come to its reign in 2013 around 210,964 households have been using this Scheme. And also, at that time one-fifth of the total were not the initial buyers.

Who is exploiting the scheme?

The cash lent by the taxpayers i.e. a total amount of £11.7 Billion has been criticized by the critics and are named as ‘ Stunning’. The critics straight away state that the scheme is for the not so stable or least wealthy ones but the rich and wealthy people are exploiting the “Help to Buy”.

Not only wealthy people but also the lenders are exploiters! The scheme i.e. the Brainchild of former Chancellor George O Osborne was blamed for the increment of the prices of the taxpayer’s money to the families who are buying new build houses. They are busy in only Fattening the developer’s profits. Another British House builder named Persimmon wanted to make benefits and profits of more than £1 billion as it cashed in on the scheme. The heavy criticism of the critics forced the government to impose restrictions and this scheme should only be constrained to the buyers who were buying for the first time only.

Where did the taxpayer’s money go?

As per the study of Matt Kilcoyne, Of the Adam Smith Institute stated that the amount and it’s scale is stunning. She says that the homes not being at the right places has caused the Housing Crisis. Almost £11 Billion has been spent already but no advancements can be seen. It has just raised the prices higher rather than increasing no of houses. Not only her but also the Campaign Director at housing charity shelter named Greg Beales, also concluded that this scheme “Help to Buy “has worsened the things by inflating the prices. Last month, the housing secretary, James Broken shire warned the developers that they must now put an end to such “Inacceptable “practices and also the problems should be terminated with the build quality.

The government should not let the generation do whatever it’s doing, it Should pay attention to it is the country’s Housing Crisis by Investigation in its new generation of social housing.

In fact, ministers also accept that the changes are needed for Help to Buy after an outcry.
