January 6 to 9, 2027 are the dates on which İstanbul Expo Center welcomes back the International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE), now in its fourth edition. More than 500 companies are due to exhibit and an estimated 35,000 trade professionals will attend, with more than 150 countries represented, promising fresh momentum for international business and joint projects.
Istanbul, Türkiye: Hosted at the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM) on January 6 to 9, 2027, The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027 is being organised by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. Backing the fair are the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) and the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB).
Türkiye’s carpet making, respected around the world, will meet international trade at the event, with importers, wholesalers and manufacturers sharing the Istanbul halls with interior designers, architects and buyers from chain stores.
A marketplace for carpet traders worldwide
Exhibitors will have the means to reach new markets, secure export outlets and grow partnerships abroad. In return, buyers from other countries can judge for themselves Türkiye’s production strength, its design expertise and a location of real strategic value.
Projected attendance at ICFE 2027 stands at about 35,000 visitors, representing more than 150 countries, with stands taken by more than 500 exhibitors.
Exhibitors should be able to strike up new trading links for the duration of the fair, meeting professional buyers from markets of real weight for carpets and other floor coverings: Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Central Asian countries.
Why Istanbul suits international business
The city sits on the meeting line of two continents, Europe and Asia, and the quality of its transport and logistics infrastructure widens the international reach of ICFE.
With a wide direct flight network serving the city, professionals from any country can travel to the show with little effort, while exhibitors meet buyers from several markets in one setting.
Customs duty falls for ICFE 2027 exhibitors

With the aim of backing the show and winning more participation from abroad, the Directorate General of Customs, which belongs to the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade, has adopted a significant regulation. International exhibitors bringing goods into the exhibition were liable, under Türkiye’s customs legislation, for a temporary customs duty set at 100% of the products’ FOB (Free on Board) value. That figure has been brought down to 10%, a reduction that applies solely to ICFE 2027.
The rule followed wide-ranging work with sector representatives and the competent state bodies, and it should sharply cut the financial burden on foreign companies whose stands feature high-value products. Wider participation by more countries is another expected result, along with extra cross-border business flowing through the show.
Ideas and design join the commercial agenda
The commercial side of ICFE 2027 will be complemented by events meant to nurture innovation, advance the industry and encourage people to share what they know.
Carpet Talks, a strand that proved popular with audiences at previous editions, returns to give senior names in the sector a stage for discussing design, production, branding and sectoral transformation.
Innovative carpet designs get an international showcase at the Carpet Design Awards, so that original creations come to the notice of professionals in the industry. At the Carpet Workshop, a special concept will pair designers from several countries on joint production work, with the aim of inspiring those who visit.
Where professionals meet new business
The trade platform offered by ICFE 2027 is open to manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other professionals looking for new avenues of business.
New supplier contacts, a view of emerging industry trends, B2B meetings and a wider international business network are all on offer to participants at the fair.
At its previous edition, 445 companies exhibited while 31,410 visitors travelled in from 127 countries. By attracting a wider field of participants and raising its global visibility, ICFE 2027 is aiming for an even stronger position in the top rank of international flooring and carpet events.
