This competition centres around The Trials and Tribulations of Ahmed Dahab, an autobiographical account of Ahmed Dahab’s experiences of persecution, unjust imprisonment and torture at the hands of Kuwaiti officials.
Ahmed Dahab is a successful Sudanese businessman and entrepreneur. After moving to Kuwait while still a young boy, he showed a strong head for business from an early age. Mr Dahab made his first £1 million by 2011, starting his own company at the age of just 19.
In 2004, Ahmed Dahab founded his own consultancy service, utilising his own business success and professional experience to help others advance their concepts and businesses throughout a variety of different industrial sectors.
After amassing enough capital to invest in real estate, Mr Dahab branched out, and began working on an extensive real estate project in Turkey. The project was highly successful; however, not everyone was pleased with Mr Dahab’s success.
Kuwait’s State Security Service unjustly declared that Ahmed Dahab’s organisation had been involved in money laundering activities in 2016. What followed was a troubling pattern of accusations, persecution, wrongful imprisonment, and ultimately torture; a story which is documented in The Trials and Tribulations of Ahmed Dahab.
Mr Dahab has launched the competition to bring this grave miscarriage of justice into the public eye. He is inviting entrants to either leave a comment or submit an illustration of the Public Prosecutor to win a cash prize of either £250 or £1,000 respectively. Candidates from around the world are welcome to enter. Further details are available on Ahmed Dahab’s website.
